DIMMER SWITCHES

Our intelligent dimmers have a push-on/push-off switch action and rotary dimming. They are suitable for mains lighting and most dimmable electronic transformers.
Please read our Dimmer Selection Guide before purchasing.
Our intelligent dimmers are controlled by a micro-processor and have sophisticated overload protection. This means that if you mistakenly connect your dimmer to too many lights or transformers it will protect itself from failure by turning the lights down or off until the load is corrected.
When selecting a push-on/push-off intelligent dimmer to control mains lighting add up the wattages of the bulbs you wish to dim. For low voltage lighting add up the the ratings of the transformers you wish to dim up to a maximum of 5 transformers per dimmer circuit.
For best results with low voltage lighting use VARILIGHT® intelligent dimmer switches with VARILIGHT® electronic transformers where you can use up to 10 per dimmer circuit and the load is calculated by adding up the ratings of the bulbs instead enabling you to control more bulbs from one dimmer.
You can only use one push-on/push-off dimmer switch in a 2-way circuit. It must be used in conjunction with a normal switch.
