VARILIGHT® Low Load Dimmers
The growth of low energy light sources such as dimmable CFLs has led to a need for special dimmer switches. Our low load dimmers are designed for situtations where the dimmable CFL bulbs you want to dim add up to less than the minimum load of a standard dimmer. Standard dimmers typically have minimum loads of 40W or 60W whereas a low load dimmer can dim loads as low as 12W. Although our low load dimmers are designed for use with VARILIGHT dimmer dimmable CFLs. (For compatibility with other low energy light bulbs, please consult the bulb manufacturer.) You can dim just one VARILIGHT dimmer dimmable CFL with a VARILIGHT low load dimmer.
