VARILIGHT Dummy Dimmers – Retain the Look, Refine the Function
VARILIGHT Dummy Dimmers are the ideal solution for maintaining the aesthetic of a dimmer switch where dimming functionality is not required or possible. Whether you're working with 2-way, intermediate, or retractive switching setups, these modules let you match the visual appeal of dimmer switches throughout your installation—without adding unnecessary features.
Each module is designed to be easily swapped into your existing dimmer assembly: simply remove the knob (and the plate, if using a Screwless design), unscrew the retaining nut, and replace the module with one of the options below.
All modules are compatible with VARILIGHT Matrix kits and suitable as drop-in replacements in existing faceplates.

2-Way Push On/Off Switch Module
- For use in circuits where two switches control the same light(s), typically alongside a rotary dimmer.
- Delivers simple Push On/Off functionality while matching the appearance of a dimmer.
- Ideal for maintaining a consistent, stylish look across the room.

Intermediate Push On/Off Switch Module
- Ideal for circuits with three or more switches controlling the same lights—such as stairwells or long hallways.
- Functions as an intermediate switch in the middle of the circuit.
- Retains the look of a dimmer switch while providing standard switching control.

Retractive Dummy Dimmer Module (300W)
- Provides a momentary (retractive) switching action with no dimming function.
- Commonly used in smart lighting or control systems that require a tactile pulse input.
- Visually identical to a rotary dimmer for a seamless aesthetic.
